What information do I collect?
All Bright Ceremonies will treat your data with respect, and it will not be actively shared with third parties unless consent is given by the couple.

• Your race/culture.
• Identifiable photographs.
• Details of your ceremony and chosen venue.

Consent (“Opt In”)
All Bright Ceremonies operates an “opt in” approach for data usage and storage. By submitting your details, using the website, or filling in forms, you are opting into data collection and usage (“implied consent”). On appointment of my services, you will also be asked to sign an opt-in data collection form.
You may opt out at any time by emailing me. Please ensure you receive written confirmation that your opt-out request has been acknowledged. Information already publicly shared (e.g., social media posts with agreed photos) cannot be recalled.
How I store and destroy your data
All personal and sensitive information will remain confidential.
• Paper files are stored securely at my home and destroyed after use by shredding.
• Contact forms, questionnaires and wedding scripts are stored electronically for one month after the event, unless the couple requests earlier deletion.
• Emails are kept only while relevant to the current enquiry.
• Electronic files are password-protected and firewall-secured.
Email correspondence does not include extra encryption beyond what the email providers offer. All Bright Ceremonies cannot be held liable for breaches that occur through third-party email systems.
Locations your data may be held:
• Password protected laptop, within encrypted folder system.
Although I take reasonable steps to secure your data, the internet cannot be guaranteed as fully secure.
Sharing your data with third parties
With your permission, I may contact suppliers or your venue on your behalf. Consent will always be obtained first.
Examples:
• Contacting your photographer, musician or venue to confirm ceremony logistics.
• Sharing anonymised script excerpts for professional training or advice.
• Using feedback (with your permission) for evaluation or marketing.
• Sharing financial records with my accountant for tax purposes (retained for 5 years).
• Sharing information with law enforcement or HMRC if legally required.
